Heritage Walk at the Qilaa-e-Kuhna (Old Fort)

Autumn is a season of letting go…of watching leaves turn golden and fall, of change, and of making peace with the passage of time. And where better to reflect on the impermanence of all things than amidst the weathered ramparts of the Purana Qila, where centuries of history lie layered in stone?

In the heart of Delhi, the Old Fort, or Purana Qila, is believed to stand on the site of Indraprastha, the ancient city of the Pandavas. Its storied walls have witnessed the rise and fall of empires, from BadShah Humayun’s Dinpanah to Shahenshah Sher Shah Suri’s Shergarh, and hold within them tales of conquest, memory, and loss, including the more recent history of Partition. Join us on our next Mausam-e-Khizaan heritage walk as we trace these echoes of the past and bid farewell to October in the timeless embrace of the Old Fort.
