What to expect
This weekend, Delhi Karavan will trace its way through the landmarks of 1857. Lying scattered in and around the Northern Ridge, these structures are a silent witnesses to India’s first war of independence. The Ridge, once a strategic high ground, saw fierce battles between British forces and Indian revolutionaries. From the Mutiny Memorial, built to commemorate British soldiers, to the Flagstaff Tower, where many sought refuge, each site remains a testament to Delhi’s turbulent past, where history was written in blood and valour.
