A Monsoon Heritage Walk in the Vicinity of Siri Fort

Outside the walls of the once magnificent citadel of Siri lie monuments that are majestic in their own right. This weekend, Delhi Karavan will visit three such monuments that span different eras and dynasties. With the monsoon adding a fresh, verdant character to the landscape, the walk will explore these historic sites in a particularly evocative season. One such monument is the Chor Minar, believed to have been built by Sultan Alauddin Khalji in the early fourteenth century. These structures are a testament to Delhi’s tumultuous and volatile past.
