Next in our series of monsoon walks, we turn to Mehrauli — Delhi’s first city, layered with stories and scattered with monuments. Among its many hidden corners, we will pause at two often overlooked gems. The first is Madhi Masjid, an unusual medieval mosque close to Qutub Minar Metro yet often unnoticed, believed to have served more than one purpose. The second is Azim Khan’s tomb, perched on a hillock at Lado Sarai, once part of Metcalfe’s Battery House. From here, we will trace its history, share anecdotes, and take in the sweeping monsoon view of Mehrauli below.
