Once upon a time, some centuries ago, there lived a nobleman and magistrate named Dariya Khan. Today, his magnificent tomb survives amidst the crowded lanes and modern buildings of Kotla Mubarakpur as a quiet reminder of Delhi’s Sultanate past. After a short break, Delhi Karavan returns with a new walk exploring this fascinating monument. Along the way, we will also trace the early years of Lodhi rule in Delhi, the arrival of the Pakhtuns, and the stories of a city on the cusp of change. Join us as we uncover a nearly forgotten chapter of Delhi’s history.
