The Mughal Wars of Succession

The Mughal takht (throne) was often like a game of satranj (chess) where every move was calculated and every mistake fatal. In the Mughal world, princes did not simply inherit the throne but fought for it. Sons marched against fathers, brothers against brothers, and the battlefield often became the ultimate arbiter of who would wear the imperial crown.

Join Delhi Karavan to walk amidst the monuments of Humayun’s Tomb, where, in the shade of these magnificent structures, we will pause and unravel one of the greatest political dramas of the Mughal age.
