Beyond the use of stones and bricks, it’s water that built cities. At Rajon ki Baoli, tucked away in the depths of the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, we step into a world where water was once symbolic of memory, power, and design. This heritage walk is an ode to the hidden intelligence of India’s water systems, particularly the stepwell or baolis. Making our way through the scattered ruins in the park, we will explore, among other things, the stories of how communities shaped water, and how water in turn shaped civilization.
